Between 2015-2025, I2I convened vector control stakeholders, such as global and country policy makers, product developers, donors, regulators, academia and programme implementers, to streamline the evaluation and registration of new vector control tools.

In May 2025, having achieved the goals of its previous programmes, I2I transitioned its primary focus to its newest programme, the Vector Control Professional Placement Programme (VCP3). Through this programme, I2I facilitated new professional links between researchers  and industry partners to support cross-industry knowledge transfer and long-lasting collaboration.

In October 2026, I2I ended after 11 years in operation.
